Pancakes

A simple preparation for a nice and rich breakfast.

Ingredients

  • flour: 1 cup (120 g)
  • sugar: 1/4 cup (30 g)
  • egg: 1
  • salt: 1 teaspoon
  • milk: 3/4 cup (90 g)
  • oil: a bit
  • baking_soda: 1-2 teaspoons (or dry yeast)

Preparation

You can either use baking soda or yeast to make the pancakes fluffy. Baking soda yields the best results, in my opinion.

Preparation:

  1. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl
  2. If you are using yeast, dissolve it in the milk
  3. Add the milk, oil, and the egg to the dry ingredients
  4. Mix till you get a smooth and relatively liquid preparation

Cooking:

  1. Heat a non-stick pan with a tiny bit of oil. Be careful: too much oil will ruin your preparation
  2. When the pan is hot, pour a bit of the preparation … it will start forming bubbles and growing
  3. When the base is cooked (slightly brown; about 1 minute), turn it and cook for another minute or till cooked

Serve the pancakes with maple syrup; add fruit or whipped cream if you want.
